About

What is RAMS?

The Rural Artist Mentorship Scheme (RAMS) is a transformative six-month program designed for young performing artists aged 14–21 across Australia. Twice a year, we select three promising individuals to receive personalised mentorship and guidance from professional mentors based in Sydney or Melbourne.

Who Can Apply?

RAMS is open to artists aged 14-21 working in any performing arts discipline. This includes singers, dancers, instrumentalists, music theatre performers, and those interested in backstage or creative roles—such as lighting designers, directors, stage managers, and more. If you have a passion for the performing arts and are eager to take the next step, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Receive

Throughout your six-month mentorship, you will:

  • Connect with an experienced mentor in your field during monthly sessions (in-person or via Zoom)

  • Receive up to four one-on-one lessons specific to your discipline, skill, or interest area

  • Access dedicated career coaching to help you navigate the performing arts industry with confidence.

  • Gain unique insights and experience through practical opportunities such as backstage shadowing or observing stage management in action

Showcase and Celebration

At the conclusion of the mentorship, all participants will have the opportunity to share their growth and achievements in a special showcase concert. This exciting event will celebrate your creative journey and introduce your talents to a broader audience.
